Strange looking perhaps, but not so when understanding the method, which I'll explain now: My beloved Auburn Tigers were playing football against a team that we basically paid to come in and give us a chance to work on our plays, while losing to us in such a manner that our fans would have fun etc. Knowing this I decided to devise a game related workout for the day to multitask and get a good workout in. Pre-game I assumed we (the Auburn team) would end up gaining between 400-600 yards total offense and give up roughly 10 first downs, so I decided to do 1 push up for every Auburn yard gained and 5 pull ups for every 1st down given up by our defense. Then I decided that if we lost yardage on any offensive plays that I also needed to do some sort of exercise move to recognize that lousiness as well, so I decided I'd also do 1 burpee for each yard lost. Well, Auburn played pretty well on offense and gave up more first downs than anticipated on defense, so the final result was: 719 Push ups, 70 pull ups, 25 burpees Fairly taxing for me, but all much easier to tolerate when game ends in a 58-7 score for the good guys.

I ran today too, it's October, which being my birth-month, seems to motivate me to get back on the running horse each year...we'll see if it lasts this year, but good start this morning with maybe close to 3 miles at a leisurely pace -- more details as I get into it, assuming that I will.
