Day 152

    • Cruise speed, whatever that is

    • From/To Home
  • Was alone with Case until sitter arrived, then off to catch plane to LA, returned to PHX at 10, home by 10:30, quick run that may have been longer and or more inspired had I remembered to eat dinner.  ???

  1. Do runners ever intentionally bonk as part of their training? In cycling it's common practice and serves to increase one's ability to burn fat as a viable source of energy--rather than relying on sugars alone. Though, the usual way to bring about an intentional bonk is to ride a few hours in the morning before eating breakfast.

Wow, I have never heard of such a thing, though I cannot be surprised the cyclists would do such a thing -- I truly believe they're are the most extreme of all athletic performance extremists...just so many things to obcess about I guess (bike, gear, body, course, red blood cell count etc. etc.). Anyway, no, I have never heard of runners decidting to intentionally bonk, but then, I think of myself as being someone who runs as opposed to being a "runner." Perhaps they do?
